YU XIN ADULT BALLET MASTER CLASS

Learn classical technique from the master of ballet in this 3-hour single intensive session,

aimed to take your ballet training to the next level.

About the Master Class

Our artistic director, YU XIN, will be teaching a special Adult Ballet Master Class in the Bay Area. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn technique from our own Shanghai Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre alumni!

Who is this for?

Adult ballet students, ages 21+.  This Master class is NOT for absolute beginner students.

For "Waltz of The Hours":  Suitable for beginner* to advanced beginner students

For "Pas D'Action":  Suitable for advanced beginner to intermediate students

*Student who can perform basic ballet movements such as port de bras, tendu, degage....

Cost:

$125 ($120 tuition + $5 processing fee) /each day via online. No refunds after 10/25/2024.

Date and Time:

November 3 (Sun) and November 10 (Sun), 2024.  2:00-5:00PM

Location:

1009 South De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129 (San Jose Dance International Studio/Yu Xin Ballet School).  Free parking available.

Master Class Schedule (Duration approximately for 3 hours):  

We will spend 1 hour 15 minutes warming up at the barre and in center, practicing classical ballet technique. We will have a 5 minutes break and then we will spend 1 hour 45 minutes for learning and dancing Repertoire** . 

**Please note, Repertoire offerings may be subject to change.

Participant Requirements

Participants must be at least 21 years old by the date of the class. Students must have achieved a beginner level of ballet training or higher in order to participate. This Master Class is NOT for absolute beginner students.  No audition is necessary.  No pointe shoes.

Space is Limited

We are dedicated to ensuring that our dancers have a fun and safe environment to move and dance. In order for us to serve  a high quality instruction, the number of students allowed for each class is limited to 12 students. You will be contacted through a first-come, first-served basis, if we get a cancellation.

 COVID Policies

San Jose Dance International matches its policies with the Santa Clara County Health Department.  However, masks are optional for all students.  San Jose Dance International requires any students presenting any cold/flu/covid symptoms to stay home.  Registration fee is not refundable for missed master class due to illness, including Covid.
